Mutuality Mindset
“Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love.” Hebrews 10:24
I think this exhortation for the early church by the author of Hebrews really illustrates how we can move in mutuality with people. When we engage in creative ways to encourage others, it naturally motivates others through compassion and love to do the same. Mutuality is a give and take out of the pleasure and alignment of our hearts. It never looks or feels like an obligation.
Have you ever felt compelled to do something for someone else that would normally feel sacrificial but doesn’t actually feel like a sacrifice in the moment? That is how mutuality feels, and I can attest to that feeling. Most everything I do here at ONE feels like mutuality to me. I love what I do, and I am completely aligned with our mission to connect people to God. It feels like a joy to give of myself, but as much as I have done for ONE, ONE has done even more for me. That is mutuality at play.
My desire is for everyone reading this to find who you align with. Who are the people that draw you into mutuality? What relationships does Jesus want you to lean into? Are those relationships mutual in time, money, prayer, or intentionality? Finding who you are meant to be aligned with is full of joy. A synergy of creativity, compassion, and love explode in relationships of intentional, mutual, and aligned partnership.
Whether you are a donor, prayer appointment recipient, or friend of ONE, we want to be in alignment with you if you are called to be aligned with us. We want you to know that we are here for you. Our resources, time, and energy are well spent with those we are meant to partner with. Don’t hesitate to reach out or use our resources, and let’s be mutual!
